Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival, brought to you by Trim Tourism Network, takes place Sunday, August 26th, the last day of Heritage Week. The festival is a celebration of the river Boyne and its significant role in Ireland’s past both fictional and factual. It is set against the magnificent backdrop of Trim Castle and will showcase cultural, historical and sporting activities both local and throughout the Boyne Valley. Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival, a FREE festival of music, dramatic performances incorporating the mythical story of the Salmon of Knowledge from the River Boyne, arts/crafts, culture, Boyne Valley Food producers and much more. Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival presented by Trim Tourism Network, takes place Sunday, August 26th. The festival is a FREE festival of music, dramatic performances incorporating the mythical story of the Salmon of Knowledge from the River Boyne, arts/crafts, culture, art workshops, children’s entertainment, Boyne Valley Food producers and so much more. The event is funded by sponsorship, (main sponsor for 2018 is Trim Branch - Drogheda Credit Union) , local businesses , local fundraising, local representatives, Meath County Council, Failte Ireland and Boyne Valley Tourism and is supported by the organising committee, local groups/clubs/societies, businesses, volunteers, the OPW, local representatives, Meath County Council, Boyne Valley Tourism and Failte Ireland. It’s set to be a fun day, packed full of entertainment for all the family , starting the day off with the Boyne Adventure Race, a 32km race including running , Kayaking , cycling and a rough terrain run, followed by some early morning Yoga by Peter Walsh Yoga to set you right for the day ahead. Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival is in partnership with the 10th annual celebrations of Race Around Ireland (watch and support the riders from the main stage), part of the National Heritage Week and Discover Boyne Valley Flavours...
