Giant waterslide is returning to Dublin city centre

A 260-foot water slide will be constructed again in Dublin City Centre on Winetavern Street, near Christchurch Cathedral.

The five foot wide, two lanes inflatable slide ran last year from the arch of Christchurch Cathedral right down to the base of the hill.

The first event was so successful last year that it is now returning over two days, Saturday, July 15th and Sunday, July 17th, so that almost 5,000 people will get to experience the slide.

The Big Slide Festival event is in association with 98FM and Dublin City Council and you have to tune into the station to find out details of how you can get a pass.

However, a crowd of over 20,000 sliders and spectators will now enjoy a weekend festival with music, entertainment and food in the Wood Quay Amphitheatre.
