Dublin Chinese New Year Festival
Chinese New Year begins this year on 1st February 2019 Celebrating the Year of the Pig there are lots of events over the next two weeks including family crafts, dancing, art, spring fair and much more. Friday February 1st is Dumpling Day. The tradition in China during the Chinese New Year is to make dumplings with all the family, from the very young to the very old and everyone gets stuck in. On Friday 16th February, UCD Confucius Institute will welcome the warrior monks from Songshan Shaolin Temple and the award-winning Zhengzhou Song and Dance Theatre to the Convention Centre Dublin for a spectacular New Year’s Day gala performance.
